Hi there,
well its a mash up of a couple different patterns. I think I used simplicity and JP Ryan, or Mill Farms. The trims I just kind of made up as I went along. Of course the fabric made the whole thing shine!

Thank you! I'm not sure... I did sell it to someone from LA so its possible it ended up in a background of extras. That would be cool!

I was wondering if you could contact me about possibly having a gown made in future. I love and admire your work greatly. As long time reenactors, we have need of many different 18thc. garments, and alas, I do not possess such sewiing skills.
Kind regards,
Mary

You should be,If you had been alive during the times of Marie Antoinette you could have given Rose Bertin a run for Her Money. they would have loved your soft elegant dresses at the French court.

What a fantastic piece of work! The colors are perfect and the effect is absolutely exquisite. I love that this photo was taken outside and you can see such movement in the dress and how the natural light plays on the fabric.

Thank you so much for you kind words. My dresses are a labor of love. Usually they take about 2 or 3 weeks depending on the trims. I try and make all my trims to really give it a cohesive custom look. Each gown requires at least 10 yards of fabric. I try and build them to last so they are all completely boned in the bodice and when grommets are used i machine set them. I'm a little nutty about it really. Also the hats are usually done on a hand sewn buckram frame and i try to sew all the fabrics when i can instead of using hot glue. Thanks again for stopping by!

Yes I did! It is entirely of silk taffeta and was total fun to make. I made a Duchess style hat to match. Thanks for you nice comments!
