The eiffel tower is a beautiful monument and few are lucky to get such a shot of it. However, the darkness makes the rest of it a bit difficult to see, it's cut off at the bottom.
I do see how putting in the black background would make people focus on it, but in other shots of the eiffel, there's so much light and beauty around it, so the darkness make it a bit dull.
