Description
This was lined on paper, scanned, then colored. I was too lazy to go through all of the blurring and sharpening of the pic to make the lines smooth so the lines aren't...smooth. I didn't do a lot of shading because then I would have to...I don't know...spend more time on it, so I didn't. I'll probably make another version without the lineart so it'll look more like a painting.

This mermaid's name is Sterlyn. It's funny because Sterlyn means silver and she's a goldfish. She is a freshwater mermaid meant to be kept in giant fish tanks. She doesn't do anything but swim around and wave at you. Sterlyn prefers fish tanks to lakes because the mud at the bottom of the lake gets under her scales and makes her less shiny.

I wanted to make her really goldfish-like with the cool spread out cloth-like tail but...I ran out of room on the sheet of paper. So she has the generic mermaid tail. I also gave her a bra and golden jewelery because...she would be too naked without them. -_-;;

This picture makes me kinda happy...it's been a while since I've actually started something and finished in within the next 2 days. I think one of her arm is too long...and one of her hands is too big...oh well.
