Description
This is the very center of Sofia, the capital of The Third Bulgarian Country.
The modern architecture of 21st century exists side by side with old residential buildings, built in the beginning of the 20th century, as well as with the old Banya-Bashi Mosque, which is over 400 years old. In the background you can see the smoking chimneys of a power station. You can also see part of the slopes of the Stara Planina (in English Old Mountain), also know as the Balkans – the Balkan peninsula is named after it.
The place is a little odd and oriental, but also emblematic for the Sofia citizens.
