20/08/2012 Edit: A while ago I attempted something a little different by trying to enter one of my works into a well known annual artbook, which was... Imagine FX? I forget now.
Anyway, I never heard word back from whoever they were, so I decided to finally update this piece here with a printable version. Enjoy! (And below this is just the old description...)
Well, I've been meaning to start off the new year on a good note, so it felt like an excellent time for Nimaera's return! What with my emotional PC finally acting as it should, and with the acquisition of an Intuos 4 tablet since Christmas, (Medium 6x9), this year is set to hopefully be awesome in terms of art. ... if I can only somehow dodge my growing interests in Skyrim and ward away my friends trying to get me to play Age of Conan, EVE Online, SW:TOR... heh. Still, that will probably be in vain... especially when Guild Wars 2 arrives later in the year. Sure, I couldn't care less for it right now, but... XD

yeah, I thought about playing mmo too like Terra Online but that's hardly possible with my current job.

I've heard of Terra Online... doesn't look too shabby, but I just couldn't find enough interest to get it. That and there's always Guild Wars 2 without the subscription fees if I need my fantasy mmo fix.

What's so special about it so you kept playing it for so long? I'm just curious.

I'll admit I haven't played the game since Halloween, (which is roughly when I stopped playing...), partly because of PlanetSide 2 keeping me busy, but also because I needed a break from the mmorpg scene. Don't get me wrong, GW2 is a great game, but it just didn't keep me enthralled as much as say WoW did back in the day. It's more because I've lost interest in mmos in general, but then I was playing Star Trek Online for months without slowing down. (I even bought a lifetime subscription for it... heh. This coming from someone who honestly doesn't care about the Star Trek universe, but rather just found it a fun game to play!)
Thing is, GW2 has a lot more going for it than STO, and I think one of the problems why I couldn't get into it was because I didn't go out of my way to make friends and form RP bonds, etc. (I also had a falling out with someone close to me, so that certainly helped kill my interest in socialising for a bit...) That and because there's so many people playing it the trade market is flooded and makes a lot of items cheap to buy, making crafting ultimately useless and a terrible money sink.
But yeah, aside from that, I love the backstory and setting.

It's very good, the eyes the atmosphere. I see one issue though. Isn't her hips too narrow? There's something weird with the anatomy of her hips and legs.

Could be. To be honest there's other things about this art I'm not entirely sure on, while the hips never really struck me as odd.
