omg...i swear my drawing's getting worse and worse...=_= T____Ttraditional piece, it's suppose to be a second option for our calendar cover, but now i look at it, it's not even as good as my first try. ([link] )

watercolor paint or the watercolor pencils? that's amazing and she's cute too. love the dress and the motion of her hair. how long did it take for you to draw this. your drawings look good compared to some that I've seen including mine

I don't really see the problem with this one! It looks so cool... +____+ It's so old and faded... that goes perfectly with her dress!
It's so cool how her hair is getting lighter colored as it gets away from her face...
I just think the big flowers on her dress would look better if they were more detailed.

I'm just trying to finish all the pieces i'm prepared to print for the Doujin anime convention in July, so i don't have much time! >__< hang in there! don't stress too much. XO i don't have that much to do in school though. XD so i'm spending most of my time drawing. ^-^

personally, of the two i like the first one better, but this is very nice as well! your drawing isn't getting worse. it does seem that artists dislike their own work more than others do, and i understand that feeling too.

lol...told you, my subjects are so laid back. I've got English, maths, physics, computing, painting and design. Which means there's only 3 exams at the end of the year and since computing, painting and design don't have much hw, i've got tons of free time. XD

go read bakuman at onemanga.com. it inspired me to start thinking about my manga. it's soooo awesome! it's about these two high schoolers who team up to make manga and it just tells the story of them working hard to achieve there dreams, it's so inspiring. oh and theres some romance in it as well! ^-^

lol, i can understand coz i did graphics and art last year, the amount of work i had to do for the porfolio was crazy...why didn't you take design then? Photoshop stuff's fun. XD (it's more practical in terms of meeting needs of society anyway, i.e. easier to find a job) but lucky you! only 2 exams. >_<
O_o bakuman is really really inpiring! I've been thinking about exactly the same issues...like going with the flow or be a gambler. it's just...complicated. lol. my parents support me as an artist, but they never agreed that i would become a manga-ka either...and i remember in January this year a writer on DA did come to me and said he's got "recognition" from publishers and wanted me to do a manga with him, but i didn't have the courage to continue...
anyway, hm...well, i mean details like dialogues and actually events. i know the basic structure of the story, but don't know how to express those ideas. =_= what's yours about? Mind sharing a bit?

yea it's really making me stay up for ages! like the last week i got 5-3 hrs sleep coz i was satying up for so long.
? i am taking design but right now were doing computing stuff coz we finished the photoshop stuff. but the teacher who takes it is soo!awful! she finds excuses to yell. -_-

mine you ask? well... its about a boy who lives happly about his life in a village with his mum. His dad had died in an excavating accident (still editing this part). near the village is a HUGH city surrounded by a wall. this city is in ruins and abandoned and no one has been able to get in for a long time ( thats why people are trying to make a passage way there, excavating accident happened than) the boy somehow stumbles in the city past the walls and discovers the world of ruins (the city) he finds out why it's in ruins and why people left but he also finds that some people have stayed to protect the city and tous his journey back home and uncovering secrets beginnings.

i think making a manga's much easier than a game!At least you don't have to code or anything. if you make a manga first, you can still offer your idea to pro game companies. ^,^ lol, i think we should take risk, life's no fun without risks. I've set my future to be an artist and i'm not leaving other options for myself, so there's no going back. (my mum originally wanted me to be a doctor too. O_o)
OWo sounds like a pretty good PRG story line! i love the way it's so mysterious and stuff. ^,^
my story's about a girl (Natsuko) and boy (Achi)promising each other to meet again 6 years later when Achi had to move away. Natsuko's mother later gets murdered by a gang and she was forced to live with the gang leader's adopted son -Kie. She searches for Achi while living with Kie. when she did find Achi he had already forgotten her...etc. etc.

well, i already knew it's hard to publish manga, ESPECIALLY in NZ!! but the good aspect is, since not many people know manga here, it's a new market and therefore lease compeptition. it's almost impossible in Japan, for my level of skill anyway. i think NZ's quite open though, maybe publishers are willing to try if we just asked...

it's actually a long story, i've left out many details. Since the girl lived with her mother (like your story, XD) when her mum died she had nowhere to stay. And Kie offered to live with her coz she look like a girl he once liked. Natsuko choose to live with him coz she hope to find out why the gang murdered her mother and also have a place to stay while looking for Achi. *sorry, bit long*

i still don't think mine's pro enough. plus, that one took me about a day to do. imagine proper manga-ka had to draw TEN of them in a day!! >O< I use photoshop with "computones" (it's a plug-in).
