That would actually be the Thalmor. Yeah, Ulfric can come across as a racist, but he's not pursuing and/or killing anyone because of their race or religion. The Thalmor, on the other hand, are doing exactly that; banning the worship of Talos, the god that all Nords idolize above anyone else, then capturing and torturing anyone even suspected of Talos worship, regardless if they were guilty or not. you may know this,already. but the thalmor's true paln is to weaken skyrim so much,that it won't be able to defend itself against them. nords are,afterall,naturally capible warriors and can stand the inforgiving winds of their homeland. the thalmor knew that banning the worship of talos would result in a war and either side winning would go against their plan. so,tidus medde II was a complete idiot for signing that treaty under those terms,thankfully the dark brotherhood questling allows you to "pay him back". as a added note,the more i think about it,the more i agree with ulfric. meaning he has the better cause. but to me,all rebellions have good causes. that's just my philosophy

I respect your philosophy. And yeah, I prefer the Stormcloaks too, partially because the Empire pretty much has nothing left to fight against the Thalmor, in terms of military or willpower, ever since the White-Gold Concordat.
Strangely enough, I've never played any character who works with both the Dark Brotherhood and the Stormcloaks, because I see them as entirely unrelated things; the Dark Brotherhood is aiding a power-hungry man gain even more power for money while the Stormcloaks are fighting to free themselves from oppression.

whenever i create a character,i tend to envison what he/she will be like in a certain role. i'll also choose the race,armor and weapons to fit said character's role,like if i create a character who'll be a talos worshiping stormclaok,i'd mak him/her a nord

Same here, though I differ with what side they may take. I usually leave the civil war alone, but if I have to, I'd always choose the Stormcloaks, regardless of race or role. Maybe I'll try siding with the Empire on one of my play throughs, just to see what it's like.

i've played that side many times. spoiler alert:it's alot like the stormclaok questline,mission-wise,that is. but there's on thing i wish they'd put in skyrim,scythes. true,the online version has a mod for this. i also would like to see more diverse magic attacks. but i don't like their current magicka costs. i once created an argonian mage and mastering the NOVICE level spells was difficult!

Ugh, Amen to that. It would be so cool to cosplay as a reaper-esque character. Unfortunately, I have an Xbox.
And yeah, the magic in the game needed more work. The biggest letdown for me in that regard was the Destruction spells and the staffs. They should have made it so that the staffs enhance certain spells instead of constantly needing to be refilled with soul gems.
