lol, that was my very first render.
Yes, it is a great help!! That is true.
You use one program for posing and rendering, but there's several versions. I use Daz studio 3, but, there's also Daz studio 4 and Daz studio 4.6. There's also several versions of Poser. Arah uses Daz studio 3 as well. She has told me she disliked Daz 4, (she has not tested 4.6) I have not tried them, so I can't give my opinion. Arah also doesn't use poser unless it's for conforming her clothing models. I'm not particularly fond of poser, I think the set up is a little complected.
If you want more information on the programs go to Daz3d.com
If you have more questions that you can't find information on, you could ask me, though I may not exactly know, then I would direct you to Arah, she wouldn't mind helping you out at all.
So it's all depends on which program you want to use. I would suggest Daz studio 3, I think it's the best of all for someone who's just starting, and is fairly simple once you get to know it.

Love It! Your renditions with Daz are getting much better--more realistic. I don't have articitic skills but I do have good computer skills so I have been thinking of doing some as well. I guess it all takes time . Keep up the great work! johnt
