I think this piece is very special to you. Like, really. And here's why..
In most of your other works that have a heavy black and white contrast, the subject, negative space, play these good and evil rolls. That's why you love them, and you are playing with us because you know that we love it. It's either good and evil or just what they are, light, and dark... And those colour splashes are your flickers of hope, and not that they are in anything significant, in fact they're the little things. Flickers of hope represented as color in the little things of life, pulling you out of the black and white darkness into this work.

Here, our subjects are exploding at the source of that force that has pulled us up and out into a memory.

In this, the subjects kiss is what's important and is the subject and source of color. What's perhaps the MOST interesting thing represented here is your again use of black and white, only THIS time, it doesn't matter if you are representing good or bad, none of that batters because you're showing us the difference between that and a whole other meaning, that the color and LACK of color are the contrasts here. This is because we are in another detention, the artists head as opposed to a work. And again, that the color and lack of color is how the artist sees the world, and in this work, she shows us the source of her color. It is very romantic.

We also know that our artist is well liked and is more than likely attractive to their community in some sense, because the artist has chosen to hide the identity of the people in the work. Perhaps not only has their love blinded us to see who they are, but perhaps it has blinded them, each other as well. And that is the reason the artist can not reveal their faces. The artist then asks you, the viewer to decide, which is more important? "Public" awareness? Or life with real color.

I enjoy the initial concept of this as it follows the continuity of your previous work. I'm unsure if you've dabbled in acrylics in this style before, but I do like the new effect it has. Much bolder colours but I do find it blends together less than with your watercolours. I've been a big fan of your portraits that explode with emotion, but I'm not so sure about this one. You've done a fantastic job with the details, but the one hand (male on the shoulder) just doesn't have that same amount of quality as the rest of the painting. It also doesn't help that it's placed around a black border which only makes it pop out even more. I'm not sure why you decided that the two characters would be wearing black clothes. I'm guessing for contrast? Or, to seem like their bodies are played out like silhouettes behind an explosion of colour?
It's interesting, but I can see a better application for your style.
Looking forward to your next piece e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Hello e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> Well, I gather that this piece is about intimacy and technology / digital world relationships. I mean, we live in a time and a culture where we place all kinds of barriers (physical and psychological / emotional) up between one another, it is almost entrancing. There's a fabulous book on media and technology that came out in the 1960's (just at the dawn of the electronic age, when it became standard for every household to own a television) called "Understanding Media" and it delves into the concept of digital monitoring replacing human contact. It references mythical legends like that of Narcissus (when he became hypnotized by his own reflection in the water) and Icarus who flew too close to the sun, and reminds us how important early basic technology (the wheel, early forms of writing, the printing press) is in understanding first: our fascination with our own genius technology, and second: questioning whether we *need* technology in order to survive (or how much of it)... all in an attempt to prove a correlation between utilitarianism and loss of human intimacy, to touch on the dangers of a digital world while still regaling the genius behind it. Technology is both beautiful and dangerous.

That was the 1960's and while I think the question remains whether a digital age is one that reinforces non-human bonds, I think it's important to keep the topic relevant. I see this message suggested in this piece and please correct me if I'm wrong. If this is the case, it's interesting that the man and woman's lips are touching in what is clearly one of the most intimate and distinctly human acts- a kiss. While their eyes are blinded by their own volition (sunglasses) they are blinded also by the colors and swirls that represent all that flashy stuff... it could be the pretty pictures of the digital world or it could just be their imaginations working (though I get the sense it's more like the former). There are some barriers we choose to put up, others that are formed without our realizing.

I wonder about the context of this couple's kiss, what led them to it, etc. The painting evokes a lot of questions, not only interesting ones but very relevant and important ones, and I think that's great art. I think this deserves a DD. Great job e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

This is one of the more prettier, meaningful arts around here. Irregardless of genre or technique, it has a deeper meaning to it when you think about it.

It's also one of the more prettier ways to express feeling and emotion.

"The thinking man's" art in short. Here I can depict all the stress, anger, sadness between the two just being released in one single defined moment. The dark torso embodying negativity in contrast with the colourful splatters round the top provides beauty in both the meaning as well as the colour scheme. It all matches up perfectly.
Frankly I can't stop thinking about how beautiful the photo looks. The white background defines what you feel the moment you kiss your loved one, in short, nothing.

Looking for flaws to be fair is rather difficult for this. Sure maybe the bloke's hand is a bit polygonal, especially the thumb. Or maybe the woman's shoulder is maybe a bit too high. However these are minor flaws, very minor. You'd be too in love with the artwork to even care.

The beauty, effort and meaning in this piece of art simply outweighs the minor flaws. This shows what the artist's mind can do than just simply paint a pretty photo.

Absolutely great and outstanding work my friend.
All that's left is to gaze and think about the photo even more. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Overall, I feel this piece has the strongest emotional stability out of your past pieces, consistent and beautiful, yet I make the contradiction to myself by saying that it is completely unruly.
This in itself provides a unique allure.

The illusion that the auras of colour are intertwining and colliding draw the eye away from the rest of the piece, giving the feel of security and that it doesn't really matter per ce as to these two people are, but the passion that reverberates between them. With that in mind, the weeping of the paints give off a sense of letting go.....

This is how society should view life, not with the cynicism and bias as displayed communally, but moving past the inapt differences people share.

It is beautiful.

This is one of my favorite of your works up to date. While still maintaining your traditional style, you definitely deviated from it as well with the bright, solid colors. Acrylic, perhaps? It differentiates from your traditional calculated, cool colors while still maintaining those in the more traditional figures. Everything from the details in the hand and neck attest to your incredible skill as an artist and really balance out the more free strokes of the explosion. Even the little seemingly random splash of color on the man's sleeve serves to lead your eye around the page and pull the whole composition together. This is, in essence, an excellent piece.

The colors around their heads can represent the cloud we are in when we are in love, and do not see anyone or anything around ourselves as the happy couple. This painting puts the viewer in as intimate with the couple, seeing the moment before the kiss, and the happy (colorful) swirls around their head.

The black shapes that form their clothing are almost like a way to define form so that we know they are physical, but do not matter since they are not as three-dimensional as the bodies themselves, such as the hand of the (assumed) male. His hand stands out more three-dimensionally due to the way in which it is set against the black flat paint of the female on the left and her shirt. The way in which this is composed leads the eye of the viewer directly from the colorful palette on their heads to the v shape which is the intersection of their bodies, down to the hand. The dripping is unnecessary, unless it is significant directly to the emotion, it seems merely an aesthetic or afterthought choice.

Realistic proportions are not the artist's goal, so much as conveying a force of energy of love and the feelings surrounding it. One can even interpret the choice of colors as conveying different feelings or moods. Leaving the faces partly covered leaves more to the imagination of the viewer and can help the viewer to become part of the painting in this way.

Another wonderful work!!!

I love the new mix of colors you put in this piece which give it a very eye catching impact.

I think the posture of both character really portray's the title and it shows individuality of their emotions. It's like I can see their facial expressions and I read their stories through their body language.

You've been doing this template for quite a while but as far as originality is concern, this deep black style on your art is really effective and it really catches the attention of viewers.

To sum it up, you did an amazing job as usual and I'm more of us will be watching for more of your arts.

Thumbs up!

Upon initial viewing the image hits you like two galaxies colliding, which fits poetically with the subject matter, it's really striking and beautiful. What you are trying to say comes across well. The frenzy of the heads, juxtaposed with the delicate and intimate moment of the mouths just about to touch, really pulls you in. The excited and bursting colors are like a maze we, the viewer, must navigate, until we arrive at the silent moment within. And, once we get there, it really feels like we are almost imposing, as voyeurs, instead of the display imposing on us. It's perfect, the feelings and emotions are all there.
The only thing that seems a bit out of place is the stray spot of paint on his arm, but that's not really an issue, just makes me wonder if it was intentional or simply left behind as an artistic whim.
