Nononono, the Japanese fandom came up with the day, and we just rolled with it. And it has nothing to do with insecurity. It's just a bunch of silly nerds getting together to appreciate something they love. It's not supposed to be rubbed in anyone's face. It's not like we're declaring it a NATIONAL HOLIDAY THAT EVERYONE MUST OBSERVE or something. Honestly, this shouldn't be bothering you. If you don't like the ship, then don't look at the art for it. Soriel shippers celebrating a certain day should not affect your life at all, so why are you getting all offended by it?

First off, it's a ship between fictional characters. Why do you care so much? She explained why there's a holiday and you completely ignored it and called us insecure. So you're already using the appeal to emotion fallacy multiple times. Also, if you don't like Soriel, why are you looking at Soriel content?

Hardly at all, Soriel does make sense. Making Soriel content has nothing to do with rubbing it in people's faces. It's just making content, with your logic, I could say the same thing about people who make content for every ship ever. However, I don't because it's a stupid point. People can make content for whatever they want and at the end of the day, you chose to click on this.
Once again, we already explained how the holiday became a thing and you ignored the explanation yet again. Now, here's a crazy idea and it's gonna blow your mind. If you don't want to look at Soriel content, then just don't look at it.

No one said that it was always romance. I don't see how someone can make something look important, it's a ship. Let's give you the benefit of the doubt and say I put Soriel in everything I do (which is demonstrably false), why do you care. Again, you can always choose to not look at it. Since you hate Soriel so much, what you are doing is the equivalent to you diving into a dumpster and complaining about how garbage smells. You are doing it to yourself. No one's really gonna have much sympathy for you. You say that as if everyone who ships Soriel gathered together and said "We should make a holiday.", which is very stupid to think in such a way.
So since you know that the Japanese fandom made the holiday, why are you asking me to answer for them? I am not part of the Japanese fandom, so go ask one of the people who made it a holiday.
