This is an exquisite piece of work. I love the atmosphere of this picture, so accurately fitting of it's name. The details of the hanging pictures and designs to the left assist in displaying the variety of an artist. The water bottle and cups suggesting coffee or something of the such also contribute to the strain and patience required for this field.
The somewhat distraught appearance of the painters attire portrays a sense of untidiness due to her love of what she does. The setting almost offers a story; most artists end up poor, but do not care, for they are doing what they love and that is all that matters.
Despite this being a fairly common theme, everything about this explodes with feeling, even without color to decorate it. The simplicity of black and white does and even better job of capturing the true love of an artist.

I honestly look at this picture....and.....just makes me think of my grandmother whom I unfortantly never got to me. She died of cancer. But her art lives on in my folks house. Sounds odd but I wanna thank you for this picture man.....literally just.....brings her memory back to me.

Understated but so beautiful! I love how her current painting is in the center of the photo, and everything else frames the painting and tells more about her.
