I finally understand why Agacross's drawing look sketchy, but so good.
The sketchy lines mostly do not connect; this gives room in our imagination to fill in the spaces with what we think will look the best. This becomes more than just 'her' perception of the picture. Rather, it becomes 'ours'.

I really admire your sketching style, Vierra... It puts mine to shame! Whenever I try to sketch, it just ends up looking like a hopeless mess of lines...
