Thanks. Sometimes, if I need a hand for a picture, I'll shoot a photo of my own hand or my wife's hand with my phone and just use it as a source. I also have a monstrous file of source photos on my drive.

A good way. This my study was maked on photos from the Internet. But lately, I prefer to draw my left hand or draw in front of a mirror. The photo has a large deformation in perspective and proportions, especially if it was taken from a short distance.

I also did one for feet because many good artists have said that they're no good at it. Simple stuff - I start with a circle for the ankle joint, and just make a wedge shape at the bottom of it. www.deviantart.com/gulliver63/…
