Continuation of this: Best Friends Regardless
I just really wanted to draw the gay best friends...
I haven't posted art in so long that I have anxiety about posting hahahahhaa//screaming//

I meant to finish this ages ago but didn’t; continuation of best friends being friends again.
Gushing about their friendship and why they’re so good for each other below:
LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY ARE
-Also Aaron just straight up apologizing and admitting he was wrong meant a lot to John bc both his parents (especially his mom) were really narcissistic and also William was that way too after a while. It led to a lot of… reoccurring arguments and it took a long time for John to get irritated enough to call him out on it. (Note; this is why he’s quick to apologize and immediately blames himself when things go wrong.) ((also have i mentioned that they were doomed to fail as a relationship bc they were even tho they were a super cute couple they were just too different and John would not have been happy with him forever))
- Cheek kiss bc cute. They have always had a very affectionate friendship bc Aaron is just a really affectionate friend.
* When he and Danny becomes friends, he kisses her on the cheek and holds her hand and hugs her and she’s just like ????
- Aaron adores John bc he doesn’t judge people and always seems to be so happy to see him. He is welcoming, genuine, and kind. Aaron… didn’t really get warm welcomes or people who cared about him. To Aaron, John is the first person who ever really cared about him.
They hold hand as friends and always have. But when they were younger, Aaron insisted on it bc John was so smol and Aaron didn’t want to lose him.
They have like a two-day fling after this. They were happy together and being friends works but there’s too much history for them to actually seriously date… but they work as friends with occasional benefits
Aaron is aware of Danny at this point and he does the Best Friend Quality Check before approving of her… and subsequently pushing John to stop being shy and self-depreciating and ask her out. Any time Danny is like “something is wrong but i’m not sure how to get him to tell me what” she calls Aaron bc he can follow John’s non-verbal speech and thought-process so easy you’d think they were psychically linked.
