the way light plays off clouds is as random as the clouds themselves, which is why i think everybody sees different images in them.

oh, the 80's... i was sheltered, actually. my mother is very religious, and i was kept away from all pop music and rock music and tv and such. i missed the 80s even though i was born in 1980!

Still the 80ies weren't half as "dangerous" when it came to popular culture. Quite harmless compared to later centuries and rappers lyrics for instance.

It's funny, but the first time I saw this, I felt like I was falling into the sky. Perhaps it is the perspective of the trees, everything centering on the flower's heart, bit of virtigo there

lol, you're great. the best artists are opinionated!
but i wouldn't like this picture at all without the trees. for me, the trees are just as important as the sky. they are the solid singing voices. they are the earth which grounds the picture. if it wasn't for the trees, this picture would be lost in abstraction.
i'm not saying i did the best job photographing the trees. maybe i could've done better. but the amount of tree included in this picture is the reason i like it.
without the trees, the clouds would simply be another texture... for me. i love the contrast.
