What's he seeking out? Or rather... Who?
I love palette prompts so muuuuch! I feel like they just allow me to explore with my art in a whole other way than I would using regular colors and conventions. That sounds like an obvious statement, but I meant it in a more profound way, ha ha! Speaking of profound, I was really feelin' it with this picture! I've got to lend some of that to the music I was listening to though, which is just epic, cinematic stuff on repeat. Gotta fit the vibe, you know? (Plus the song was on my mind.)
I'm not sure if gradients are totally allowed for Staves Rest palette prompts, but in my defense, they haven't been forbidden yet, so technically they're allowed. But also I don't think Staves Rest is gonna be too strict with the rules, so long as you use all the colors and can tell where they are distinctly.
I'm super happy with this though! Sometimes I use gradients in my palette prompts, sometimes I don't, but I like the look for both and this picture's no exception! Also, I'm pretty happy to say I think I'm getting better at showing the topside of water from the underneath--sort of. It's weird and wiggly and I don't really know what I'm doing, but I feel like I'm learning so that's what's important!
