Developed initially as a proof of concept for the Amstairian Next Generation Astro Fleet, it was later manifested as it's poster child, and as the ubiquitous symbol for the Amstairian Empire's Royal Astro Navy by in large. The Denver-Class has then since been replacing older generation destroyers with a capable, versatile, and now combat proven platform that has dominated the "destroyer role" theatre.

Armed with a potent array of weapons for any scenarios, the Denver is able to fulfil any task required of it; from fleet escort to independent operations. This is thanks to it's electronic command and control suite; allowing the ship to take on a multi-role functionality without losing effectiveness in others. It's powerful radars, sensors, and quantum computers allow it to perform pickett and reconnaissance duties. It's targeting arrays and electronic warfare capabilities, as well as onboard aircraft, allow Denvers to act as commerce raiders or vanguards of any fleet. It's weapons, both defensively and offensively, makes its a very viable ship for anti-surface operations within a fleet.

For it's capabilities, it is no wonder that the Denver-Class is as successful as it is, forming up the ranks of some of the most successful void warships in recent history. They were able to prove the Navy's vision of a fleet of powerful and plentiful ships, rather than just plentiful, and are expected to serve for many decades to come.
