Description Ahh finally finished this! Wanted to finish it yesterday, but was too tired by the time I got off work. I'm really tried to improve my technical skills with painting portraits as well as my understanding of anatomy/facial structure. Didn't really try to draw the model so much as try to understand how light and shadow should work with the photo.

The title, "Starry Eyed," is from Ellie Goulding's song [link] . I actually didn't have a title in mind, but this was playing when I finished, donc voilà! Her eyes are shiny...

Now that I look at it I feel like I should have continued to refine her hair. Ahh this takes so much patience!!

Anyway, respectful comments and critiques(!!!) are very welcome

I really like the colors you used for the skin. Her face is lovely! I love the glow on her eyes~ And the combination of colors work so well. I really like the progress I'm seeing in your works. Can't wait to see more. :3

flowy hair!! If only all hair was as sleek, flowy and oddly hypnotic..

I am oddly transfixed on her lips, I love how you did them, shiny, glossy realistic and okay time to fave

Oh, dearie that mist you're wearing brings out the color of your eyes.
Anyway, as always 'awesome' 'w'! Your colors and textures are always so soft and powerful at the same time; and the way she just fades into the grey background really adds to the picture.

The background was quite fun to paint and really changed the whole feel of the painting as I worked on it. I'm happy you like it!
