Damselfly - Blue Ringtail, Austrolestes annulosusI am slowly improving with my insect photography and I was thrilled to capture this beautiful insect.

I can't remember which lens I used for this, as it's many weeks since I took it. I was on a walk around Frankland, so it was probably my long zoom which has a macro setting.

Then I must have been SO lucky, as this one stayed in the same position long enough for me to walk around it and photograph her from different angles.
I'm trying so hard to improve on my insect photography, but as we have so many birds in our garden, insects are getting difficult to find.
And now the Kookaburra has discovered the pond with the tadpoles and I'm forever chasing him away. Some of the tadpoles have already turned into little frogs, but as they are loath to leave the edge of the pond, they make easy pickings. 
I even read the other day, that adult frogs find baby frogs a delicious meal

He looks like he's holding on for grim death.. I'll say your insect shots are getting better... now give us a huntsman.. I had a beauty on the wall the other night!
