I think of things so absurd
Come from the back of my mind
Hallucinations feel so real
And I can’t believe my eyes

I sit in rooms alone
And start to freak myself
Feel like smashing my head into the walls
Repeatedly and hard

Smash this dumbbell
Straight into my legs
Take this pair of scissors
To scrape along my skin

Then I dream of jumping bridges
Of hanging myself from trees
Walking in front of trucks
Walking off the end of piers

Not the first time I’ve had these thoughts
Not the first time they entered
Certainly is a first
That I crave them and give in
