Description I haven't read a comic in probably 15 years now.
But when I was a teenager I used to love the X-Men, back in the day when Jim Lee was the artist on that book.
And this was the team that I picture whenever anyone mentions X-Men.

I tried a new style when making this one. I eliminated all black outlines in favor of a cleaner look.
I'd love to hear what people think of this.

Sadly 15 years ago I was only 2! How i wish that I could experience the culture of the 90's XMen! Honestly the arcs of Xmen that are out now are kinda...bad/boring. The Ultimate Xmen comics were good..until they killed off Gambit. Im trying to hunt down the old comics but its harder then it seems without a credit card and/or a local comic store!
I love the way you coloured this and I love Rogue's outfit! This outfit is my favorite of hers, hence why Im planning on cosplaying her! The detail on Gambit is pretty cool too and gotta love the Ace of Spades. Beast for once looks a lot like a character rather then a pile of blue fluff! Wolverine, Betsy, Scott, and Jubbes all look amazing too! (sorry for lack of professional opinion ^^' )
Awesome work!

Wow, thanks so much! I'm glad you like it.
And for the record: Gambit is my all time favorite X-Men characters. To hear that he was killed off really blows.

He's my favorite male X-Men mostly because he actually has a backstory that has him walk the line between good and bad. He basically IS the gray area in the Marvel comics.

WOW, really?! LOL
I guess it's a new age in comics. I was thinking about how much I used to be into these stories back in the 90's and how I have NO idea what's going on with the characters now.
But I guess it's better to have the memories, huh?

I recommend you both read Astonishing X-men: Ghost Box, written by Warren Ellis and drawn by Simone Bianchi. It's a 5-issue story arc, issues 25-30, also available in a single graphic novel.

If you guys remember that much about the 90's X-Men than this story will resonate for you. Cyclops, Storm, Beast...Forge, with Emma and newest X-Man Armor. The storyline keeps you, the characterization and writing is tremendous, really reaches out to the folks who remember things from back then, and the artwork is totally superb. You will not be disappointed.

This might nerd alert 5000 but I firmly believe it's never too late to pick up your old heroes again. And Astonishing X-Men: Ghost Box would absolutely make for the best re-sampling.

Make Mine Marvel.
