I guess the 100th episode inspired me to draw Derpy... I think Bon Bon stole the show, but I had this idea to draw a pegasus to play with wings a bit... anyway, I hope it turned out ok
it's a sort-of remake of one of my very first pictures... there is a bit of progress, I guess

well, I really don't like the simplistic idea most of the fandom has about her and this picture was suppose to show that she's way more than just a clumsy pony with a lazy eye <_<
The confidence you mentioned is one f the things that makes her just like every other pony. just like every other pegasus she loves to fly and she feels confident above the clouds.

It's the wing. Since her wing is right behind one of her forelegs, I though the wing was the right foreleg and both forelegs were two left forelegs.
I...don't think I explained that right XD
