SPITTAKE I JUST SAW MY ART ON EQD OMGAH 8D 8D /freaking outWell, since I did a Luna piece, I figured I’d go all out and make Celestia a piece too, otherwise it wouldn’t be fair. Celestia is actually one of my favorite characters (because she’s so pretty haha shallow much no but seriously) and she gets so much flak which is kinda sad. With this picture, I wanted to show that she can be beautiful, but also terrible.
I really wish there was more Celestia music out there! Thanks to for the vector of Celestia’s cutie mark!
What? Her crown’s missing? Psh. Who needs a crown when you have The One Ring?
In the place of Discord you would have a Queen!
Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Morn! Treacherous as the Seas!
Stronger than the foundations of Equestria!
All shall love me and despair!

i actually really like the colour tones you used in this one- her mane is usually a bit hard to look for me at because of its pallet- but its gorgeous here

Oh thank you so much! I'm really happy with how her mane turned out in this picture too, I wanted less of that pastel-princess look and more hot sun tones for that powerful feeling and I'm glad that the effect is working!

I was already like, "Dang, this is awesome! I'm totally gonna fave this!" Then, I read the description and saw your LotR shoutout, and I was like, "Can I favorite a description?"
Seriously, though. Also, said shoutout takes on a whole new level of meaning after Luna demonstrated that the TRADITIONAL ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE is ridiculously similar to Galadriel's voice from that scene you reference.

Well I have written an overture for the (maybe possible) Celestia and Discord story musical I have floating around my head. The piece is for pipe organ and I shall upload it to Youtube soon. That sorta counts as Celestia music right? Since she's a main character in the story?

Oh wow. I love the yellow-orange color tint and the extra stylization you've got going on. And yeah, people seem to forget that Celestia has power over the sun, and is more than just a pretty side character.

haha, the background was actually the easy part! Celestia took me quite a while since this is one of my first attempts at lineless coloring (as well as one of my first attempts at actually drawing ponies), so it was a real pain to figure everything out!
