Description "Unbelievable," Psy thought to himself. "Even though his arm stretches so far, the speed remains the same. And on top of that, he combined it with an Ice Punch. It's so unreal. Pokémon battles… are so unreal." Roger turns his gaze to his son, while his Marowak fervently dodges the flurry of stretchy Ice Punches thrown by Kevin's Hitmonchan after dodging the first one. "What Psy is seeing must be coming as quite a shock to him. I've told him stories of my battles, but he never believed me. Can't blame him though, it does sound crazy. But that doesn't make it any less true. Look closely, Psy. This is how high-level trainers fight!" He turned his gaze back to the battle and noticed that Marowak was dodging two stretchy fist coming in from different angles. "I can't believe this!" Kevin exclaimed. "Your Marowak is something else!" "You think so?" Roger asked. "Wait till you see this!" As another stretchy fist approached, three afterimages lined up next to Marowak on, and they all stood still. Hitmonchan's fists hit two of the Marowaks, which then disappeared. And as the fist were being retracted, they reappeared again. "Whoa, they came back," Psy thought. "That usually doesn't happen. I've never seen a battle like this before." Luke, the Riolu, and Kirleen looked at Psy and saw that he was trembling. "Double Team. Smart move," Kevin said. "Hitmonchan! Ice Punch the ground!" Hitmonchan followed his command and a layer of ice began to spread across the ground. Roger looked up, and the Marowaks leaped into the sky before the ice reached their feet. "Gotcha," said Kevin under his breath. "Swift!" Hitmonchan held out his fists in front of him, aiming them at the Marowak, who were in mid-air. They began glowing yellow and an array of yellow spinning stars flew out at high speed. "This battle is over," Roger proclaimed. "Aerial Ace!" The four Marowak disappeared and the spinning stars hit nothing but air. Suddenly they reappeared, diving towards Hitmonchan from 4 directions. "Hitmonchan! Hit them!" Kevin yelled. Hitmonchan threw a stretchy right punch  at the Marowak coming in from the front and a left at the one coming in from the left. When the right connected, the Marowak in front faded away, and Hitmonchan's arm stretched over him to hit the Marowak coming from behind. "It has two be one of those two," Kevin thought to himself. "It has to!" the left punch connected, as did the right that hit the Marowak attack from behind, revealing both to be afterimages as they faded away. The real Marowak was attacking from the right. Hitmonchan's left arm stopped stretching and whip-lashed into the opposite direction, as a desperate attempt to hit Marowak. But before the punch could connect, Marowak crashed into him and he was sent flying across the ground. "Hitmonchan!" Kevin yelled. Hitmonchan used the last of his strength to attempt standing up, but fell back to the ground. Psy walked over to him to see that he was unconscious. And he stayed staring quietly, unable to believe what he just witnessed. Then he suddenly felt something pulling his pants and he snapped out of it. He looked down and saw his Riolu looking at him with a worried expression. "Don't worry Luke," he said. "I'm fine." He raised his right hand towards his father. "Hitmonchan is unable to- huh?" Before he could finish, Hitmonchan began to glow white. "Is he…evolving?" he asked. Roger walked over to Psy and said, "Not likely." Then the glowing stopped and where Hitmonchan was lying on the ground, instead there was a small formless pink blob. "No way!" Psy yelled out. "Yep, it's a Ditto," Roger said. "A Ditto trainer, That explains everything," Psy said. "He must have been using Transform to alter the length of his arms." Kevin held out his Pokéball, and a red beam shot out from the center, enveloping Hitmonchan in a red light that retracted back into the ball. "Nice battling, Ditto," he said to the ball in his hand. Suddenly an applause could be heard from the people around who were spectating. "I can see why these people are applauding you, sir. You really are a strong trainer," Kevin said, with a slightly depressed tone in his voice. "It's Roger, and they're applauding you,  kid," Roger replied. "Huh?" Kevin was surprised as he looked around at the people who apparently were applauding him.
"Great battle, kid!" one man shouted. "Your Ditto is so cool!" another man shouted. "Yeah, you almost had the old geezer," a kid yelled. "Hey, I resent that!" Roger yelled back, slightly annoyed. Kevin continue to look around and wave at the bystanders who witnessed the battle, and saw that Psy and Roger's Pokémon were clapping as well. "Even the Pokémon…" he thought. Suddenly a big smile appeared on his face, and the feeling of defeat faded away. As the applause slowly died, Roger walked up to Kevin and said, "You should probably take your Ditto to the Pokémon Center." His stomach began to rumble. "Oh, looks like it's quarter past hungry, so let's have lunch while we're at it! My treat! Let's go!" Roger began walking, followed by Kevin, Psy and all of his Pokémon. Kirleen's stood still, as her eyes glowed blue for a second. Psy looked back and saw that his Kirlia was standing still. "Kirleen, are you coming? She looked at Psy and said, "Hm? Ah, yes." And followed everyone else to the Pokémon Center.
