Description I know why Jonathan Crane lost his mind in the movie, it was making this damned mask, I have spent over 30+ hours working on it. It was all hand stitched, hand made with actual burlap and movie accurate thread.

The noose, I am waiting on to dry, yeah thats right waiting to dry, i make false nooses.

Every stitch except for the zipper in the back and the part over the nose to hold over the hole that was accidentally torn together,

Is screen accurate, I had my move master figure in my lap every hour I was making it.

I will post the noose added some time over the weekend.

The first night I worked on it was a 24 hour night thanks to insomnia.

now i'm going to go die, my hands are killing me.

wrist dispensing fear toxin agent might be in the future if i can get a better look at it.

Wow, that's great, pretty accurate if my memory serves me right I have been dying to make one but have had so much trouble figuring out how to do it. Burlap is tricky to work with XD Is it true that the stitch pattern wasn't torn at all? Meaning that you just made the stitch pattern with the thread without having to tear the burlap, and the cloth crimps naturally as you stitch it,

No I cut all of mine an stitch them back together, it makes it more authentic. An holy hell is burlap evil to work with when you first start out. I've been making scarecrow masks for three years now an other burlap parts. Its a snap for me now. an burlap dosen't crimp it either has to be folded an held in place while it is stitched or it will just stretch out an make a big gaping hole

ooh, neat. True it does,Yes i know, i have "tried" to work with it before to make one of these but it came out awful. So I ended up putting it on a dummy i hang from my house during October. Wow, three years?? That's impressive, how many have you made? What other burlap parts? Yeah that's what i meant when i said it crimps, I couldn't explain it that well I noticed that you made a strait-jacket as well any tips on making one? I made one but it didn't come out the way i wanted .

I Have made about 7 masks in total. Other than masks, i've made gloves, hats, neck guards, nooses, boots. As for the straight jacket, it takes a lot of patience.

An just try things, if you jump into something an it dosen't work try another way. :3 Thats what I did was dive right into it

Hmm, interesting, never made boots before but nooses are easy to tie. I figured that out the hard way, plus its difficult to get the right materials (canvas, leather ect.) Thanks, did you use and strait-jacket pictures to help you like i did?

Make a functional noose with out tying one >3 thats the challenge seeing how real ones are illegal.

No I didn't I hardly look at anything when I make something unless i'm doing a replical

hmm, im stumped, unless you mean make it from scratch? How are nooses illegal, since when? Here in MA i don't believe they are. nice I want a real strait-jacket so badly like the old one's from the 30s with leather straps I could always make it, when i get a sewing machine that can sew something as thick as leather and canvas .

Not bad. Just might be a bit too short.

Its supposed to be short, the back of the mask only just barely touched the nap of his neck in the film.

Very very nice work, it's amazing!
I think the truth is that you made the mask, and Crane borrowed it from you.
