Description
NPC design for the Avatar:TLA game I'm playing with Aeyamar , PaladinPhantom , and Siartha . The saga is set in the era of Avatar Kyoshi, during a period of upheaval in the Earth Kingdom.Yuyan Ueda is the daughter of Fire Nation diplomats who were imprisoned by the Earth King for a crime they didnβt commit. No stranger to realpolik, she was sent to the Earth Kingdom to infiltrate Chin the Conqueror's army. Authoritative and competitive, Yuyan possesses a keen military mind and a bit of a tsundere streak. In the future, she will go on to found the Fire Nation's legendary Yuyan Archers.

I'm actually planning to play with my Harry Potter roleplaying group (which consists of Aeyamar , go-a-w-ay-yyy , and a couple other people who aren't on deviantart). It's a combination of people I know from college and people I met online.
We play using Skype and Roll20.net. Do you have any experience with tabletop games?

I played D&D last summer with a group of friends before uni restarted, and sometimes I hang around in a groupchat when my friends play a Star Wars role play. I know the general idea of things, roll for stats, roll to do things, there's a DM who plots for you, etc.

Given Kyoshi's heavy emphasis on the Earth Kingdom, I wonder what the Yu Yan archers would be doing.
Then again, Kyoshi lived for over two centuries, and not everything that happens is some world-altering event that requires the Avatar's involvement.
Still, I like the idea of Yu Yan archers possibly being effectively "good guys", or at least against Chin the Conqueror. The Fire Nation could have interests in various Earth Kingdom provinces and deploy soldiers to protect their allies. Not necessarily a full-scale military intervention, but a few commando units to sabotage Chin's efforts.

Very nice. The Yuyan archers among my favorite side characters, next to the Kyoshi Warriors.
Am I the only one who would want to see a spin-off series centered on non-bending character like the Kyoshi Warriors and Yuyan Archers? I like the non-bending fight scenes in the show better.

That would be a interesting side series. Maybe a four book series featuring the following groups.
Earth - Kyoshi Warriors
Fire - Yuyan Archers and/or the Rough Rhinos
Water - Foggy Swamp Tribe (can't think of any minor groups within the water tribes)
Air - Air Acolytes

They do have a very cool design. I tried to change small aspects of the costume, to imagine what it might have looked like in the era of Avatar Kyoshi.
