Description "THIS, is SPARTA!!!" *kicks the black fella down the hole so that he gets his "earth and water"... that was the opening of 300.

i did this when i was taking a break from work in the office. i was watching 300 for referencing and i decided to sketch a portrait of the king of sparta and i paused and sketched this in around 15 minutes. just simple pencil work.

haven't being doing traditional drawing for so long. especially for human figure. this is like a break off from my background drawings which i had been doing since i started working.

if im free i might colour this.

its violence, but its like violence in beauty. its a freaking nice movie u must see it. i'll say its even better than the lord of the rings. the art, the mood, the fighting, the story and the actors. i love this so much more than lord of the rings.

Whaaa? The story better than Lord of the Rings? Whaaa!? Maybe the original lore behind it, but not the way the movie presented it. Tolkien for life!

have u watched 300? i think visually 300 was way better than lord of the rings. the fights, the mood, and many other things. i liked lord of the rings too, but i have to admit that 300 is better.

Yeah, I've seen it. Visually and artisitcally the movie is absolutely stunning, but as an overall film achievement, I feel that the three Lord of the Rings films are better directed, better filmed, and have better stories than 300. This isn't saying that 300 wasn't incredible, it just says that Lord of the Rings was mind numbingly awesome.

Obviously a difference of opinion and little to do with fact.

well as a trilogy, im sure lord of the rings required way more effort that 300. they had actual scenes and they made alot of models for the backgrounds and stuff. whereas in 300, everything was shot in the blue screen so i guess peter jackson had a way tougher job.

maybe i should put it this way, i found 300 more entertaining while watchin the movie compared with the lord of the rings. so u cant really say which one is better
