This is a piece I did a while ago, I think off of some sort of prompt? Anyway. I like it. It seems pretty self explanatory to me, but I'll type out a little blurb about it anyway. I made this back in 2015 when I was dealing with depression, an eating disorder, and other such shit, and was being shuffled around different treatment centers. I expressed this state of hopelessness and powerlessness through the process of drawing out deliberate meandering lines, and also through the final visual product. The figure in the center of the piece is meant to be a curled up person, grabbing their legs in a sort of fetal position. Hope all (or maybe some?) of that comes across in the image. It was definitely therapeutic to make when I did it, and I still enjoy the aesthetics of it even though I'm emotionally doing infinitely better.

In general, I'm uploading some of my works that I did during college/in the past 5-6 years. I have a few already scanned and formatted that I'd submitted for my college's art/poetry magazine so I figure, hey, why not put em up on DA, right?
