I don't usually write critiques but this shot really inspires me to do so. First of all, the entire stage of the photo is great. It really makes you wonder how the author got onto that angle, how the shot was taken and also what did you think when you took the shot. The light is stunning and furthermore, the shadows in the entire scene really contribute to a great feeling. It makes me thing that there is a fight going on between light and darkness, behind all the straight angles of the shot. From my perspective, the only problem with this shot is the fact that I would have liked to see more of the stairs and that the left dark side of the side occupies more than I'd wish. Anyway, regardless of this small aspect, the shot really transmits "something" to all the viewers. Congrats and hope to see more from this photo-shoot.

You alwyas have a great eye for places and placement, but this is outstanding. The quality of the shadows, the warm quality of the light that goes so well with the wall colours, the doubled stairway that gives us just flashes of light to lead us down to the larger patches, the stains on the lower wall that echo the colour of the upper wall... perfect time and place. But your own skill shows in the angle of the shot, the framing, the figure. There's a beautiful balance of tones, the width of that dark, dark side against the lighter areas. I like how the sunlit part starts as nearly a sharp point, widens as it descends, and then nearly (but not quite) shrinks back to a point again. And I love the figure, that it's not too literal. The shadow doesn't show arms moving or legs walking, it shows a static form that we know is human, but it's shown in a way that doesn't shatter the pure geometry of the rest of the scene. Very well done.

I ran across your pic by random, and it caught my eye. Beautiful in all its simplicity, I love the abstract-yet-not feeling of the colour surfaces. Great shot!

Stunning. The apparently simple composition has overlays of depth in lighting and detail. The shadows provide strong leading lines into the shadow of the person, resulting in an interesting level of ambiguity about the meaning and purpose. Very well executed in my opinion.

Great location and angle. Excellent composition - the lines, colors, light are beautifully put together. I love the contrast between the cold left side and tha warm right one. Mostly the path of light and the positioning of the shadow .
