Hi a14on,
I'm not a full member, so I can't critique.
I suppose, I'm a bit divided by your photo. Part of me loves the crazy split between the 2 sides of your photo - I feel like I'm hanging from the edge of Darth Vader's Death Star, peering out into the outer world, with the 'hard' left-hand side of your photo v's the cloud and jet-stream on the right-hand side of your photo. Part of me finds your photo confusing. That's the end of my artistic comment.
Technically, ALL DSLR's will limit you when you're used to shooting film, even with your zenit; you never get the beautiful dynamic range of film with DSLR - maybe you have noticed this with the 'halos' around the TV aerials against the sky when you found the huge contrast between dark building and over-exposed sky with DSLR's.
Don't stop shooting with the zenit, even as you learn with the pentax - I love the feel and colour of your film shots, something I have never managed to achieve shooting in film, then scanning, then processing in PC, blah blah. You are clearly comfortable with film, so don't forget that.
As an aside, do you do your own scanning of film yourself?? If so, you do very well to keep the natural colours of the film in the digital versions of your photos.

I must say I had no idea that if you don't have premium membership you cannot write a critique,this is what I call dA nonsense...
I must assure you that I will never quit shooting on film because I love all those SLR cameras and all those shots I can make with those cameras.I was somehow in need for a DSLR and I thought it would be good to see it in action and to see what I can do with it.It's pure experimenting as I did in the past few years with all the expired film,the multiple exposures the use of filters and so on.The way I see things is that I'm in a continuous need of doing something new so I can improve and take myself to a next level.
No till now I used a photo center to scan some of my films and other films were scanned at one my best friends appartement.
