Description
To the south of the Loft and west of the border to New Hanover, in Grizzlies East territory, you'll find an isolated cabin in the woods called Martha's Swain. Entering the house, the protagonist will find the skeletal remains of a woman, dead for some time. Although the cause of death is unknown, given the isolation of the place it could be either old age or illness. As valuable items are found in the location, it does not seem plausible the woman was victim of murder during a robbery. Searching through the house, the protagonist will find a letter written by a confederate soldier named Garfield, in which he states disappointment and regret in his participation in the war. He shows distrust for his commanding officer and expresses desire to defect as soon as possible. The female skeleton is revealed to be the correspondent of the executed soldier from Bolger Glade, which adds grief and suicide to probable causes for her death.
