Mhh... I'm not good at giving advices.
Sometimes when I have on mind a certain drawing, I can make it once or I do it over and over again until I feel satisfied with the result. You can imagine that I have my garbage bucket filled to the top with paper xD

I would recommend you to make experiments with colors and shapes, not for serious drawings, just... to see how much can you get from your own creativity. Don't be afraid to change your drawing style (mine has changed a lot through the years)

I experiment a lot!
Most of my experiments failed, I sometimes even used science in my drawings. There's a theory that says that people like lines who's length are 1:1.62, so the second line being 62% bigger as the first one; like here [link] or here [link]
I've tried that theorie on one of my own drawings; [link] . I applied it everywhere there, the lenght of his shoulders, the place where his arms should cross, the length of his legs etc.

I tried something experimental with colour too; it's said that people associate orange with madness, red with rage, and black with other not-so-happy things, so I made this [link]

And lately I've been experimenting a bit with drawing high buildings, seen from birdsview, so the buildings are a bit above and under the point of view, but all lines go to one point in the horizon, it's quite funny.

The latest drawing I've done over and over again, but my source of inspiration kinda changed (I did it for a lady, but now my feelings for her changed) so it's like running out of fuel.

I'm going to spend quite some more time on my drawings, maybe it'll get better.
