Description

Well let's face it, everyone has their own character they make up for their favourite fandoms. This character is my Naruto OC, Galatea Ginyuki (ギンユキガラテ).

Galatea is kunoichi from the Land of Ice/Kōri no Kuni 氷の国 (non-canon land). A very wealthy medium sized nation built between a valley on the edge of the sea, North-West from Land of Lightning. She is perceived as intelligent, witty, cunning, resourceful and highly educated with an anti-hero persona.

She descends from the Ginyuki clan bloodline whom posses the Kekkei Genkai; the ice-style and their unique "Gin me" (Silver Eyes). The silver eyes are a result of a special anti-freeze found in the blood which makes them completely immune to the cold/any temperature below 20°C. Those with the Gin me posses a natural super-human like strength and incredible stamina - they don't need to infuse chakra in order to smash a rock wall to pieces or send a foe flying.

The Gin'nome doesn't pass on to every generation. If someone whom posses' the eye has children, the first child has a 100% chance of inheriting it and the second child has a 99% chance but a third child drops to around 55%, a fourth child has 12% and a fifth child inheriting it is unheard of. The ice-style stays on throughout the bloodline however the power and quality of it generally gets weaker the further it branches out from the original bloodline. Ginyuki's tend to marry within the clan to keep the bloodline strong and high quality, with occasinally marrying outsiders to bring in fresh genes.

Those children who don't inherit the eye colour have the 'Gin' dropped from their surname and become 'Yuki'. As Yuki's are not recognised as family and are cast out by the Ginyuki clan, leading to them fleeing to the Land of Water to form their own clan.

I got her name from the mythological character Galatea after I saw a painting of her by Raphael riding on a seashell in a water-themed scene.
