This is a Kiowa girl that is representing a family member during the Black Leggings Society (Tone Kone Gaw). The Kiowas Black Leggings were named after a party of Kiowa warriors ran through fire during battle long ago, causing their buckskin leggings to char and collect ash and soot on them, giving them the appearance of blackened leggings.
