Maybe an idea for a fanfiction..
In the episode 35 "Love is in the Air" saw the Pig-King a princess or a pig that looked more like a girl than the others.
What if there is a princess on the island and the next time the pigs tried to steal the eggs and the birds safe them, she managed to
abduct Red because or the King had done it alone. But the girl wants to help the red bird if he does something for her too. Of course, Red remains stubborn but how long could he stay in the prison of the pigs. He maybe wonder why his friends don't come to help him. So the princess uses this for her advantage. She tried to get as much information as possible about the red bird and unlike most pigs she was very smart. Red only woke up in a dimly lit room. He doesn't know where he was, nor his friend, because he was intentionally hidden by the pigs on the island. And so more and more days pass, in which the princess speaks to him in a 'nice way', made him think she really wants to help him but her father (or uncle or grandfather) the king is in the way. So Red loses more and more faith in the birds and his friends, which now are thinking that something bad happened to their mighty Red because the princess gave them a believable scenario because it annoyed her that other birds were appearing constantly...
