About to have lunch, Butterfingers suddenly runs out of lactose-free food, so he goes out to the store to get some more. Discovering that the store only sells dairy products, Butterfingers feels disgusted by the idea, and complains to the clerk that he is made of butter which IS dairy. The clerk is offended by this. A week goes by and Butterfingers has developed a non-dairy campaign. He arrives at the amoebas’ house, where the 3 bacteria are having pizza. He tells them about the store, which surprises them in shock, bringing them to tell Butterfingers that pizza includes dairy. Not believing them, he sheepishly eats a slice and leaves.

Unfortunately, while sleeping, Butterfingers begins experiencing a nightmare about sentient versions of the dairy food ominously chanting in shuddersome voices, "Eat us, Butterfingers! Eat us!". However, Butterfingers actually finds them so unsettling that he tries to run away, but is caught by them. The dairy products force-feed the helpless Butterfingers who is unable to stop it. He becomes immobile but the dairy products keep force feeding him!

Butterfingers wakes up in shock the next morning, finally realizing the consequences of his actions. He soon feels very ashamed of himself. Meanwhile, Bossman, Slim and Junior are playing a game of "go fish" in their house, and Slim asks Bossman if Butterfingers is ever going to learn; Bossman responds by saying that he'll be fine. Just then, Butterfingers, bursts in and apologizes to his friends for not listening to them when they told him that some of his favorite foods include dairy, and they forgive him.
