Is that Alita huddled in the corner?

ahh! good eye! Its an Alita Like character. She is the pilot of the mecha. If you look at her Knee, she has the same symbol on it as the one on the back of the mecha. Its a stickman drawing. Noone else has ever mentioned she looks like ALita. I was reading Alita at the time I drew this.

Yeah, almost surprised I was the first one to mention. So she's just taking a little mecha break, or is she waiting to ambush someone?

The whole setting even has a very cool scrapyard vibe to it. Yukito Kishiro is the greatest. Have you read any of the "Last Order" Alita series?

Sadly, no. I read the first series while in college, and I still have the original issues.
I have seen his recent artwork though, and checked out his webpage. The artwork has progressed too, hes one of my all time favourites.

There are very few comic stories I enjoyed more than the original Alita series. -which I read after college at a time I hardly read comics at all anymore. Believe me when I say that the Last Order series is totally worth it. You're absolutely right that his style has evolved a great deal. So do the characters and story. Amazed every issue how he takes it to another insane level, upping the conceptual ante each time. Very martial arts novel, meets space opera.

Remember how rushed the original ending was? This totally fixes that and gives Alita the open playground she deserved.

when i drew this, i was at college, i was doing all of these drawing assignments, none of them were very creative. None of them could show what i had in me. One night, instead of doing my assignment, i just sat in my bed and drew this instead. I was frustrated and stressed, so I sat there all day in my bed and drew this nonstop. The next day the teacher asked to see my drawing assignment, and i gave him this instead. He didn't know what to say, i think he pointed at 1 straight line and said "I see some perspective here" lol. anyway..., your comment means alot, because this drawing was purely my personal style and feeling at the time. thank you.

I just love how it turned out, the pen just gives it such a dark dynamic touch, and the fact that it was just done up, without being planned, is just...wonderful.

I recently got a hold of an old scanner. So i've been scanning some old pieces, and also using my digital camera to take photos of the ones I can't piece on the scanner bed. My camera is newer too. So, i guess up till now, i havent really had the ability. Also, i stopped painting and drawing after my son was born, I had to work my ass off to make money, and had to leave art college. I ended up doing alot of design work, but it was mostly computer designs. Now years later, i've been wanting to draw and paint again. (i miss it dearly) My new one is called "Fireflies". and i am planning to do more new drawings.
