You know, i've never been told how i should or shouldnt use any kind of medium, because i'm self taught, so i usually just use what i have at the time. One style that works really well for me is to draw the picture, and ink it, or just draw it in black ballpoint, or whatever, but do the shading in pen. Then color it using watercolor, but use a transparent amount of paint. Watercolor is pretty sweet like that, because you can let the original shading from the drawing show through. Now, the downside is that watercolor has no realy good "White" so after the watercolor is dry (or even if it isnt) i use white acrylic for highlights, because its opaque, works good for those extreme glares, or spots of light. I use it in kind of a pinpoint fashion.

Not yet. I actually decided I'm going to wait until next semester to start up so I'm not starting in the middle of the year, and that way I have more time to clear my head and save money.
