Snomurmel the snow cannon Pokemon

(Sno from Snow and Murmel from the german word Murmeltier -> Marmot)

Type: Ice/Water

Abilty: Snow warning/Snow blanket - Creates a snow field that raises the evasiveness of all Ice-Type Pokemon by 25% for 5 turns.

Evolves via Ice Stone

Snomurmels are the reason why the mountain tops of the Ostrik region are always covered with a thick snow blanket even in summer. Those cute little creatures live high up in the montains. There they build their nests under the snow blanket. They are very shy and create little snow storms or snow fields to hide. For this they absorb the water in the air and cool it down in their bodies till it freezes. They then fire it of through their cannon like nose.

Snomurmels always live in big packs. They take their turns watching out for dangers. If you are lucky on your journey you may see a head of one peeking out its underground lair.

Note from Professor Arolla: Due to the colder climate of the Ostrik region Ice Pokemon don't seem to be affected from water type moves. Only exception is the move Scald.
