Description
As a lot of people can speculate the Indian Valley Railroad will feature heavily in the Magic Railroad Adventures so there needs to be engines to run on it. Some may be aware that I'm already planning to have GSMR No. 1702 run on the line as it is my all time favorite engine but there will be other engines featuring, either for historical accuracy or the prominence made in Shining Time Station. One such engine is UP No. 8444. It should be noted that as well as being the first engine to appear on screen for Shining Time Station episodes, this is also the very first engine I acquired to run for the IVR in my show. The model shown here was made by Rivarossi so it is an older model but it still looks the part. Currently the engine is receiving a refurbishment: it is expected to receive a new motor to replace the old one (which has gotten faulty), steel parts that have rusted will be replaced with brass fittings and perhaps the model will be retrofitted with new high-tech appliances such as DCC programming and such.
