She's flawless at catching and retaining information and has an awesome memory despite events in her past, but her curiousity can get the best of her [Coughcough Curiosity killed the cat coughcough] and sometimes get her into trouble. When she was about 12 she was involved in an accident that she wishes to find more information about, she lost both her parents and her memory in the whole ordeal. Apparently her parents were so disfigured in the accident she wasn't able to see them at the funeral, and they weren't the kind to keep pictures apparently as when she returned to her home, all alone, she couldn't find any telltale signs of what kind of life they lived. Neighbors all confidently told her entirely different stories that didn't add up.
Kat returned to the doctor that treated her, hoping to gain some information about what happened to her and maybe what happened to her parents. But when she tried to describe the doctor that treated her to the secretary at the front desk, she suddenly couldn't remember them at all. She tried to describe her parents accident but without more information the secretary couldn't do anything for her. She was livid at this point, and sat in the waiting room for hours trying to remember the doctor, when she saw somebody in a white coat pass the end of a long hallway that lead through the hospital. She recognized them instantly and took off after them, but every time she turned a corner, no matter how fast she went they were just casually turning the next corner. Until she saw the figure exit through some double doors and Kat followed, latching onto their lab coat. When the figure turned around, Kat just stared, as she can't remember their exact description now, but they were simply levitating, and all they said was," So you found me after all, huh ?" Kat got angry and was about to ask what the hell was going on but the witch beat her to it with their smooth voice," Don't tell me, you're mad I didn't save your parents ?" In which Kat just returned a confused glance," No it's not... That... Just, how did you save me if you couldn't save them...?"
The witch responded easily," I didn't want to, they were horrible humans, scum of the earth, but you have a chance to be different than them, and that is why I saved you." and then the witch vanished.
After her encounter with the witch and magic firsthand, she then delved all her time into schooling and learning, but also searched endlessly for what the witch meant in reference to her parents being horrible people. But she got an unfortunate awakening when she happened upon the chained up door to the basement. When she went down, she found books upon books of witch guides and mythology books, and upon closer inspection, Kat found that her parents were Witch Hunters, but she found that they were notorious for being overly violent and for killing witches that hadn't needed to be killed. She realized that most of the cases she'd read through, they were supposed to turn in the possibly evil or wrong-doing witch in to a 'Witch Counsel' which they seemed to always mysteriously fail to do. Kat ended up taking mixed martial arts classes late in the evenings to better prepare herself for a dangerous world and graduated school at just 16 and is now looking to be a guide in this risky lifestyle with all the knowledge of both her parents under her wing, but a better goal in mind. After all, she's got nothing to live for, right ?
She's sitting on a good amount of inheritance, enough to keep her under her parents roof until she's 20, while she'll just have to work for food and other necessities herself.
Likes: Sweets, skateboards/skateboarding tricks, magic, reading, spying on people, history, computers, engineering, math, science, secretly loves puns, motorcycles/cars, folktales/myths, listening to stories, animals, piercings/tattoos, singing(NOT in front of ANYONE, sleeping/napping in the daytime.
Dislikes: Anything else just about ? Dealing with people upfront especially, cooking(though she's good at it), cleaning(unless it's her board or a car), dancing of any type, the sun, flowers, she has some kinda weird vendetta against sunflowers even she can't explain
