Sprite's enjoying Summer with a lovely day at the beach. Though the view of the sparkling sky is a bit obstructed by the robot-mothership wreckage far off in the ocean.

Said wreckage was once the vessel of Solar Girl's primary enemies during her teenage years: The Geo-drones. They were a vast army of war machines of varying sizes that could each transform into geometric 3d shapes and travel at great speeds (transformers but they became mathy shapes instead of vehicles).

The Geo-drones were the result of several allied world powers collaborating with the goal of creating a new and highly versatile army of combat robots. Production began on the moon, safely away from the populace. But for unclear reasons, the Geo Drones turned against their creators and began to antagonize the planet Earth. The reason why this occurred is still unknown, and a lot of bad-faith discourse and scrutiny still takes place around this event.

The Geo-drones made the moon their home base and began their campaign to enslave the planet Earth. They were the largest-scale villains Solar Girl had ever faced up to that point. After years of fighting, the Geo-drones were eventually repelled from the moon, and launched one last ditch effort to destroy civilization on Earth from their mothership. Sprite boarded the vessel and destroyed Geo-prime, the alpha drone once and for all, and sent their ship crashing into the ocean, finishing them all off. In the aftermath, attempts were made to explore the wreck, but even though the geo-drones were all destroyed, traps in the mothership were still active. The wreckage was deemed a safety hazard and it was made illegal to try and explore it. At least until it was discovered what went wrong. Some scrappers will sneak up there occasionally. And Most recently, the Supervillain Rov made the site his hideout.

Will the Geo-drones ever return? Nope. They're all dead. But they left their impact. Especially on the populace's opinion on Solar Girl. In her golden age, the majority Solar Girl's enemies were petty thugs and bank-robbing superhumans, meaning she always had to pull her punches. Watching the more unhinged teenage Solar Girl smash through combat machines with minimal effort woke many up to how dangerous the Star alien truly was, causing a portion of civilization to believe she could not be trusted with their safety.
