Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I offer only the truth, nothing more.
Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill
spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
I know. That's why it's going to work.

mwauhah! i caught you! 3! THREE! muweahahha
I am such a crazy person...but I am glad you liked those pictures. That picture of the twins... 'we were chasing rabbits' is actually one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken. It's not very good technically or anything...but I feel the emotion too.
As for 'she's coloring outside the lines'...oh my. hahaa. that's one weird picture but I wished I had framed it a TINY bit better. I mean, yes, it's nice being tightly cropped...but...I could/should have gotten a few more centimeters on each side. hmph.
Hehhe. that picture of the train station.... he was stalking me! It was so scary!!!! The second after the shutter closed..mauren YANKED ME away from the stop and we ran down the platform...hahahaa

hello Goran,
you are indeed a Structural poet of light, sound, energy & awareness i really like the intuitive aspects of your images...the diliberate creation... assembleage of found objects & light waves.
your gallery is exciting & enlightening!
Peace!!!!

all your fantastic words about my salford quays series simply stunned me. it was indeed the feeling of loneliness that i wanted to get across, but your words managed to crystallise my feelings so much better than i could ever do. sadly, the quays series is now over, but in future i will definitely return to this fantastic location and document some more (this time i'll make sure to take a slower film, as the 400 ASA does grain a bit too much for my liking, losing lots of acutance and detail). again, thank you for keeping a watch on my works...your critiques and interpretations are very much appreciated, my friend !

yes, the camera should have been higher on salford quays footbridge 2 [link]
i basically had to put the camera flat on the floor to get the perspective i wanted (that's also why it's not focussed properly...i could hardly see through the viewfinder), as the tripod would have taken it too high. somewhere in between would have been ideal...maybe i should invest in one of those soft bean-bag things that you can massage/mold into the shape you want to give the camera stable support anywhere...
and on footbridge 4 [link] yes, that brown thing IS the sky. not polluted like, it's just the effect of an overcast night and those orange/yellow lights of the city shining upwards...i would have preferred a pitch black sky though

regarding stairs at whatever 2 [link] you're right, something is wrong with the composition. i couldn't put my finger on it either, but decided to scan/upload it anyway. if nothing else, the off-balance feel makes it interesting to the eye...and makes me almost sea sick

God I hate it when DA blows its coding and loses the fact it was me logged in when I'm trying to write a damn comment. I hate rewriting things. I hate even more the fact that I'm not ENTIRELY sure that it didn't go in the first place.
Anyhow, what I was originally attempting to say is that I developed these little filter+layer tricks as I was learning how to blow up "small" sized photos big enough to be printed poster sized. I was wondering if I could come up with a way to algorithmically remove malformations of the image and all I managed to do was make them worse.
And then I learned how to make them _much_ worse.
And now you see what I'm up to, today, eh? Serendipity.
So, with your permission, I'd be happy to put your full sized pic up into my prints account. I want to print a copy myself, and I'm happy to price it with 0 profit to me or DA.
I think the only other way to see my stuff properly would be to buy one of these [link] that display at 3840x2400 pixels (or something like that)
But those are still a little too expensive, eh?
I've got my eye on them, tho. When they were first introduced, they cost $25,000... the price keeps dropping. Maybe in a year or two. Maybe.

I wonder if Terrence McKenna ever was able to get his hands on psychedelics that only twiddle the perceptive mind without impacting the interpretive mind.
I have. I can even say so with impunity, because The Man hasn't made them illegal yet.
There's three "levels" at which your standard hallucinogens function, perceptive, interpretive, and emotional.
Having an "overwhelming hallucinatory experience" that's only perceptive and not interpretive is very strange. There's all the weird swirlies and shivers and flanged sounds and all that you'd expect to experience from a tryptamine psychedelic....
But they don't "mean" anything terribly interesting. They have no cosmic significance. There's no half-formed faces in the swirlies. There's no half-heard voices in the flanging of sounds.
Such an experience, while kinda a letdown (I expected way more from it), clearly allows us to see the separate mechanisms upon which psychedelics operate.
(well, okay, that's all really simplified, but it's all I got space for here, dammit).

Yah, you mean those squares in the white in her neck? That's actually a reverse-gamma artifact That's where you neg an image, fuck with the gamma, and neg the image back, so you change only the bright parts of the image, not the dark parts).
It can, unfortunately, pick up even the slightest artifacts in the source that, unfortunately, immediately get grabbed and made more pronounced. Probably, if I were going to "for sale" anything, I'd want to run a "cleanup pass" over most all of my stuff and fix little things like this. As far as the "pure art" goes, that violates my rule of not touching the image with the mouse, ever, heheheh, so I just leave it be. While it's mildly distracting, it's less "fake" to me.
I dunno. I'm weird like that. One of those "warts and all" kinda guys.
Hah, I want a print of Glass Towers, too. Pieces offered on the prints site get bigger thumbs, as well. Ah, sigh, okay, I probably need to send a note and beg the guy to let me put it on the DA Prints site as well.
