Yea I guess he is. So what do you think will be the outcome of him in the future of the game?

I dunno, to be honest. I'm not even sure Valve knows what they want G-Man doing in the future. Is he there to help or hinder or scare the pants off players? His tendencies to stop time- is he himself doing that or does he have a device or a creature? I dunno!
I hope he ends up helping Freeman in the end but it's for his own gain somehow.

What ive read/heard is he is one of the combine higher ups. And my idea is he is going to bend it in a way that he will lead and in the end youll have to fight/kill/stop his ascension to power or his reign.
And from my guess hes just using Freeman as a pawn you know

Well.. hmm.. if this is true, then why was he talking to the rebels when you look through the little automated spyglass thing? I forget if it's HL2 or HL2:ep1 or not, but if you look through it (it wasn't a necessary action) the little thing makes you look at the town you eventually get to to help defend with rebels. The main guy there talked to G-Man as you were peering through it. o.O'
