Currently elegantly bedecked in minty green lycra after going for an evening cycle. Woot.

OH NO there's only one explanation. IT'S KULLERVO! RUN!

He hath infiltrated Apocalyptica! He probably wrote fatal error.

Yeah that seems like his style. Deathzone is also a title I can see him dreaming up but the music isn't very Kullervo-esque.

Also it was written by Eicca. In a shocking moment of loveliness. Maybe that's how Perttu managed to write something 'relatively beautiful' - he released his inner Kullerv- oh god. Kullervo isn't Perttu's alter ego is he? To quote Paavo, Perttu has an ego a mile wide. Plenty of room for 2 awesome cellists in a mile if it's a Finnish mile and it's within a mile of the Sibelius academy.

xIce-Firex In reply to Dwarf-Potato [2009-10-20 15:03:16 +0000 UTC]
Eicca was having his head influenced by Perttu in the night. Either that or he has schizophrenia and all his other personality does is compose shit songs then force him to put them on CDs. Or vice versa.
Hah I didn't read your Perttu-Kullervo alter ego bit till I'd written by Eicca schizophrenia bit. THEY'RE AL SCHIZOS!! Except all Paavo's alter ego does it ski and all Mikko's does is pull stupid faces.

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-20 15:46:43 +0000 UTC]
Maybe Eicca is on top of his schizophrenia now but he wasn't when he graduated from the Sibelius academy. The not-Eicca personality makes things like Ruska and Deathzone. Influencing in his sleep? Is that like making people wet the bed by putting their fingers in water, only you put his hand in a pile of music written by Perttu?

That sounds like a good plan, but interspose some Paavo as well. And he can wake up in the morning all excited to listen to their playing and record their songs! Then I would go ANYwhere to see them. Follow them around Finland just to hear that kind of joy every night!

They said the next tour would be Autumn 2010. When I'm at uni. Therefore I can go to the Bristol one, the Cardiff one, the Swansea one, maybe Wolverhampton if it's in the holidays. I'm going to go to as many as possible, screwing cost. And I want to go to a festival in some random other country - either France or Finland. I would choose it based on how much Apo it had...

But but but but but but but but but but but but but but but I WANT TO COME WITH YOU. They'd probably come to Cambridge and I'd totally drag Jo and Eli to see them but it's not the same *sad face*

I would also see their cambridge gig, of course. It goes without saying! It's an extra gig with a place to crash!

Jo's dragging me down to wake up screaming on tuesday which should be . . . interesting. Metal and some more metal . . . oh well there might be T SHIRTS and i'd be horribly tempted despite my poor financial state.
Heee you HAVE to come down for the Cambridge gig if there is one. Screw termtime and lectures!

I want to go to another gig. I want it to be Amon Amarth now but I have no one to go to Wulfrun Hall with and London is far and expensive, even if it does have Perttu.

Drag SOMEone. You HAVE to go see them! Is Hannah still at home? Kidnap her and drag her kicking and screaming. Or just steal a random person.

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-23 16:14:12 +0000 UTC]
Hannah wouldn't go near them. She likes the Wombles and The Kooks and The Feeling. Melodic death metal isn't really her thing I don't think. And I've discovered their support is CRAP so I won't go.

xIce-Firex In reply to Dwarf-Potato [2009-10-25 09:46:06 +0000 UTC]
The Kooks and the Feeling? Oh dear. Nothing wrong with that I suppose . . . I'm going to go put some Lordi on instead.
Who are the support? Swallow the Sun? Heh.

Oh. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Avoid that one. I'm going to go find out who's playing the corn exchange soon . . . no actually! What if i find someone good? Money!! Must not spend!

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-25 22:04:05 +0000 UTC]
Money is not something to be considered when it is Apocalyptica in question. Except when it's £50-odd for the fecking train ticket and the crowd will probably smell anyway.

I'd go if it were Apo. COz I mean . . . APOCALYPTICA. But it's highly unlikely. Oh shizzle. FFAF are playing on Wednesday wehn I have to go spend the eveningbeing bored in the presence of the college Master. BLUHHH. At least it prevents expenditure.

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-26 11:18:40 +0000 UTC]
That is very annoying. Are FFAF your joint faves? I can't remember all these acronyms.

xIce-Firex In reply to Dwarf-Potato [2009-10-26 16:00:45 +0000 UTC]
They're one of my faves when I'm in the mood for them. So yeah I'd love to go see them. But oh well.
Too many acronyms? How about RFB, LMH, LH, SHB, HC, MML, AME, blah blah blah.

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-26 17:03:40 +0000 UTC]
You'll be able to see them again I'm sure. It's not like it's their first ever headline tour, after 21 years. cof AA cof.
And that is one of the things I dislike about private schools. They give everything impenetrable names so everyone else feels like an outsider and very poor/stupid.

xIce-Firex In reply to Dwarf-Potato [2009-10-27 08:52:23 +0000 UTC]
Yees when they do another album I will charge off to a concert and go way a lot. They're playing at the junction which is fagging miles away. The station is fagging miles away! If you come on the train I'm going to have to walk forty minutes to come pick you up.
Ah but that's an undergeneralisaton. Hereford had stupid names for things. It seems to be a universal trait. Also, Cambridge is not private. Pedantry abounds! The thing I dislike about private schools in a backwards way that stems from my own inferiority is that the students from there are so much better educated in languages. Maybe that means I should dislike state schools . . ?

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-27 17:25:17 +0000 UTC]
I didn't get most of that.
See, Ludlow had 2 names. LRC and the CoVE. Nobody went in the cove - it was a scary dark place full of chavs (it was the Centre of Vocational Excellence) everything else was sensible.

Well with that name like that you'd really want to run away. Sounds like a place where the dumb people go, I'm afraid. This is just me being biased and nasty to all the people who are non academic.

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-29 17:09:41 +0000 UTC]
They went and sat in their little cabin that was separate from the other bits so they didn't affect us. And the CoVE people weren't as bad as the inhabitants of Barnaby house. The CoVE people were at least trying... the Barnaby lot just sat outside and smoked and glared at people going to maths lessons.

Dwarf-Potato In reply to xIce-Firex [2009-10-30 17:08:39 +0000 UTC]
Er... book keeping and basic IT stuff. I mean REALLY basic. Like this is a word document. This is a keyboard. Prod the keyboard and it makes black marks appear on the word document. We'll discuss what those black marks mean in unit 3.

It's the language that's universally NOT spoken. Ridiculous idea. It was probably made up by a drunk LoTR-lover who liked the idea of the common tongue and decided Earth needed one too.

Yep. That was a failure in experimental linguistics. Why doesn't eveyone in middle earth speak Elvish?? It's definitely the awesomest tongue.
