i bought Persepolis2 as well so now i'm looking forward to that. the comic-format is fun but really cuts out on the content. understandable i guess. usually a book doesnt take me two hours to finish!!

I just read this message (I'm sorry to reply this late, I'm back in BCN and having an unexpected big load of work). I'm glad to read you liked it enough to order a second book. I understand what you mean about the format. Sometimes I find myself thinking "15 euros for something I read in 2 hours?" when I buy a comic book, but I keep buying them because in spite of the format there good stories.
Well, I hope you enjoy the second book aswell and come back to tell me

yeah i got them together on amazon.com because it was cheaper. i finished #2 a few days ago and also enjoyed it. it would be interesting to meet her today and see how her childhood translated into adulthood.

I guess people like her end up not belonging neither to Europe nor to Iran. When I see the situation in Iran these days I can't help but think of the families that are going through what her family suffered.
