I would love to pick your brain someday about what you had in mind when you were coming up for a design for Parmak, and if you had any headcanons floating around about him... yours and my interpretations of him are quite different (which I like!) and I don't know anybody other than you that regularly draws him.

Well, let's see...
According tot he books, he seems very gentle and understanding, so I wanted to kind of give him a soft look, but not androgynous. Because he was in a labor camp for years, I wanted to give him a kind of haunted look as well, as though he'd never quite gotten over it. All of tumblr seems to want him with long hair, and since it both makes sense (being in a 'woman's' profession) and I'm a sucker for men with long hair, I went with that.
Apparently, my subconscious also wanted him to look like Citan from Xenogears, which I only realized later.

Did you have a specific age for him in mind? I think in Crimson Shadow they say he's around the same age as Garak, but there could be a lot of wiggle room there.
Re: the long hair - I kind of like how there are aspects of his appearance that all the fandom agrees on. I think agatharights on tumblr was the first person to come up with that, and the rest of the fandom just ran with it.
I notice my biggest problem is getting him to look consistent - I try to give him the same facial features and general build (a swirly birthmark thing on his chin/jaw; lines around the eyes; and I make almost all Cardassians fairly stocky), but my style seems to veer wildly in different directions every time I draw him (OR DRAW ANY CHARACTER MORE THAN ONCE UGH) so that tends to be my big problem.
Anyway, I love your stuff - can't wait to see what you'll do next.

For age, I was thinking somewhere younger than Garak, but older than Julian. Nothing more specific than that though.

Have you tried making a reference sheet for him? Just a doodle or something with notes that you can refer back to in order to make him more consistent? I do that sometimes when I'm having trouble in that regard.
