In my opinion (just my opinion ^_^ ), you should draw cards using the anime card style. It not only reduces your work a little bit, but also, more importantly, some time later you can create cards of your own, to make the duels more badass (like in the anime ^_^ ). Dont' just use TCG or OCG cards.

Later if you think about some badass effects, you don't have to write them in details on the card's lore. You juts need to let characters explain them, like the anime.

ohhh...I see what you mean, that American awkward ( my opinion before you keep reading ) way how they make it. If you look at the original version of the anime the cards don't look like that. Here's a screenshot of Yusei holding out Stardust Dragon - vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/y⦠. The only time I did the reading off text was for Mad Demon since I doubt Jack would want to explain that his monster got forced into defense mode which makes Wally's Harvest destroy it a lot more easier instead of having to crash into it like he thought he was going to have to since they both have 1800 attack n.n;
