Celeste is old, old, old. I usually start on a new character with a sketch or a concept idea, and it takes me about a week to get something going. After that, three to six months of research, unless its something I already know pretty well, I guess?

Keep in mind that when you do submit art, dA is a community that encourages comments and critiques. Unless you are on dial-up, it is preferred that you are able to upload larger dimensions. With screen resolutions being on average now 1280x1024 and some common wide screens being 1920x1200, larger versions will be more welcomed. During submission, feel free to change the Fullview Size but then also check the Allow download of original (full-sized) image box.
