Ah. That's clears up your points. Yeah, it is a bit difficult to get good long exposure shots at concerts, but unfortunately it's the only way to achieve motion. I think good effects can be achieved by motion of the camera as well. Sometimes, I actually move my camera purposely during the exposure and it turns out how I want it (like this one for instance: [link] ) Other times, it doesn't, or someone knocked into me, etc. I still like the blur in that photo you commented on, but you are entitled to your opinions.

It is not hard to take good band shots, and I wasn't at a distance. I like concert photography that shows motion and the colors of the stage lights. Why is everyone obsessed with boring, still, flash photos of bands with hardly any color?
